Many factories and businesses will shut down for at least one to two weeks for the Chinese New Year's festivities that begin on January 23, 2012. Parties and festivals typically last for two weeks ending on the 15th day after this date, with Lantern Festivals all over China. We expect most Chinese factories to close from around 15th January 2012 and be closed for 3-4 weeks. Some of our trading partners will be open sooner but they will not be able to work to well on new bespoke items. It is important to note that we will need to adjust your production and auditing schedules accordingly. Make sure that you plan ahead and account for these factory closures by placing orders ahead of time if need be and also do not expect to have things hipped during this period. 2012 is the Year of the Dragon. Traditionally, the dragon is said to represent power and it has evolved to also be a symbol for success and happiness. Let's hope all our businesses reflect this belief in 2012.
